Our purpose is to make available the teachings of Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Bhakti and Karma Yogas, Tantra, and Ayurveda. We are committed to preserving the purity of the ancient teachings while exploring their applications to modern society. Our seminars are open to the public, and RMIYA does not exclude or discriminate against any individual based on gender, class, ethnic or racial origin, religion, or sexual preference. RMIYA offers five CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS for interested students. The 500+ hour Yoga Alliance registered program in the Practice and Teaching of Yoga is intended for those students who wish to acquire depth of knowledge and experience in Yoga sadhana. It is oriented towards training those who wish to teach and as such provides both depth of instruction in personal practice and a wide exposure to the major methods, schools, philosophies, and scriptures of the Yogic traditions. The 750-hour Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy Program is designed to assist students who wish to apply the principles and practices of Yoga and Ayurveda for healing and one-on-one counseling. Academic credit for some RMIYA courses may be obtained.

Our Classes

Our seminars are open to the public, and we offer a variety of health and educational outreach programs, including an Ayurvedic medicine clinic, yoga classes for cardiac patients, and a free holistic health clinic for low-income, single mothers and their children, depending on intern availability.
